Reading Feedback " The Worst Design"

After I read Less is More by William Buxton, I came to the idea that it might be dangerous if we stick to the idea which already exist and has been fixed.
For example, let's look at the car. Basically, engine is on the head, driver's seat is at the front, side seats are on the next, and passangers are at the back. The basic design of car has not been changed for Centuries. The whole social systems for car such as traffic and parking lot are just fit for the current existing car system and design. When I think of the original design of car has come from wagon that leads by horses, existing car design can not be very efficient for super engines and automatic super cool technology we have now. Wegon was designed for people who lived in suburban area with muddy and rocky roads. Of course for horses, too. In 21 Centry where you can find highways that connect everywhere you want to go--of course without horse, wagon based design causes traffic jam and lack of parking lot problems. I cannnot really think of any better efficient design of car at this moment, but there could be something better than current one.
